Google’s first-gen Pixel devices could impress the audience even they were good inside and out. But it was the design that was quite a turn off for many; inspired by Apple and given a sight unique touch with some glass at the back. Even the front of the device looked ridiculously similar to iPhone 6/6S. If Google had done a little more with the design, Pixel devices would have been bestsellers.
But something very promising seems to be on our way as the leaks keep on giving us good hopes about the new flagship devices: Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.
And with just a day to go, the leaks won’t just stop coming out. The most recent leak by Evan Blass includes the front of the Google Pixel 2 XL which shows a much reduced bezel, and crystal-clear display. The leaks also include the side-view of the device which, in fact, is the more interesting part of the entire leak.
According to rumors, the sides of the new Pixel devices could have a “squeezable frame”, which can be used to interact with Google Assistant by pressing on the sides.
Both phones will reportedly be equipped with QHD displays while there’s no clear news whether there will be any curved displays or not.
The images also show subtle difference in the interface. The Google search has been taken down to the bottom from the top. It’s also still not clear whether this change will come on both devices or just the Pixel XL 2
